Community
Greenville, Maine is a small rural town of approximately 1,257 people, nestled on the shore of Moosehead Lake. It is an area well noted for recreation opportunities. We are the fourth largest town in Piscataquis County. The Latest U.S. Census shows Piscataquis County as one of the least populated areas east of the Mississippi and has the lowest per capita income of any county in the state of Maine.
School
The Greenville School System has a reputation for providing quality education. The percentage of our graduates who continue their education exceeds 80%, based on the last 10 years of data. Over the past few years, our graduates have earned degrees from or are currently attending, Harvard, Dartmouth, Bowdoin, Bates, Colby, Boston University, U.S. Military Academy, West Point, and many other competitive colleges. Our school serves 211 students in grades K-12. We are able to provide individual attention to each of our pupils.

Curriculum
Greenville offers several course level options to maximize student success: Technical/Integrated, College Preparatory, Honors and AP/College. Dual Enrollment math opportunities are available through the University of Maine. Students may also take Adult Education (AE) courses, AP4All, and on-site or online college classes.
AP Courses
Approved Advanced Placement Courses consists of the following: Psychology, World History, U.S. History, Art 2D Design Portfolio, Language and Composition, Literature and Composition, and Physics.
Honors Courses
Anatomy and Physiology, Chemistry, U.S. History 1, U.S. History 2, English 9-12, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus and Statistics
Graduation Requirements
A total of 22 credits is required for graduation which would include the following courses and number of years each: English 4; Mathematics 2*, Science 2*, Social Studies 2, Health 1, PE 2, and Visual/Performing Arts 1.
